Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 August 2026

Nightjar produces original short films and publishes them to our own YouTube channels. This policy covers this website and the internal tool we use to publish our films, referred to below as TheOne Nightjar Publisher.

In short: we do not collect personal information from visitors, we have no accounts or sign-in, and our publishing tool touches only our own YouTube channels. We do not access, store or process any other person's YouTube data.

This website

This site is a static set of pages hosted on GitHub Pages. There is no sign-in, no comment system, no advertising and no analytics or tracking script. We do not set cookies. Our hosting provider may record standard technical request logs, such as IP address and user agent, for security and reliability; we do not use those logs to identify visitors.

Some pages embed YouTube video players or link to YouTube. Where a YouTube player is embedded, YouTube may set cookies and collect data according to its own policies once you interact with it. That processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Our use of YouTube API Services

TheOne Nightjar Publisher uses YouTube API Services to upload our own finished films to our own channels and to set their metadata. By using it we are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and the data Google handles is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Specifically, the tool:

It does not read other channels' data, search YouTube, collect viewer or subscriber information, gather comments, compute or store analytics or derived metrics, or act on behalf of any other person. It is not offered to anyone else and is not distributed.

Authorisation data we hold

The tool stores an OAuth refresh token for our own Google Account so it can upload without re-authorising each time. That token is held privately on our own machine and is not shared. It can be revoked at any time from the Google Account permissions page, which immediately ends the tool's access.

How our films are made

Our films are produced with the assistance of generative AI tools for imagery, narration and score, then edited and mastered by us. We declare this on YouTube using the altered-or-synthetic-content disclosure on every upload. Our characters are invented; we do not build them from real people's likenesses.

Children

Our films are not directed at children and our uploads are marked as not made for kids. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above.
